Meet Dustin
Deep Roots
Dustin DuFault is a lifelong Minnesotan. His roots in this state run deep as his family has called Minnesota home for nearly 150 years. That legacy of grit, hard work, and integrity is what drives him today.
Dustin grew up on a farm in the Red River Valley in northwest Minnesota, where early mornings, long days, and personal responsibility weren’t suggestions, they were a way of life. That upbringing instilled in him a work ethic and a no-nonsense approach to problem solving that has defined everything he has done since. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering before heading to the Twin Cities to attend law school, bringing a uniquely analytical and methodical mindset to the practice of law. He and his wife of 18 years, Carolina, have resided in Minnetonka for the past 16 years.
Principled
Over the course of a 25-year legal career, Dustin has built a reputation as a tenacious and principled attorney. For 22 of those years, he has run his own law firm, serving Minnesota clients, and learning firsthand what it takes to build something that lasts. As a small business owner, he understands the deep frustration of watching government policies make it harder, not easier, to keep a business alive in this state.
Commitment to the People
Dustin has never run for office before. What he brings instead is a sharp legal mind, years of real-world experience, and a genuine commitment to the people of this state, not to the political class or the outside ideological forces that have been pulling the strings in St. Paul. Dustin is committed to restoring transparency, eliminating fraud and waste, creating an environment where businesses want to invest and grow, and returning Minnesota government to the people it is supposed to serve.
He is running to take Minnesota back — and he’s just getting started.
